Niklas Höiem

My name is Niklas Höiem, i was born in 1993, originally from a town called Västerås in Sweden, where there is really no skiing possibilities at all. But in 2012 I moved to Åre and I have been living here ever since.

I have been skiing for as long as I can remember and I have my family to thank for that. We vacationed in Trysil, Norway, one week every winter and that was always the highlight of the year. I remember as a kid I looked up to “the cool guys” in the park with their baggy clothes and twintip skis.

My biggest inspirations in skiing must be Phil and Henrik, but also guys like Mike Hornbeck and Adam Delorme. I guess that’s why style always has been important for me when it comes to my own skiing. I want to make it look effortless.
